The Executive Director (ED) is directly responsible for the effective management of the day-today operations of the Friends of Red Rock Canyon (FRIENDS) and leads FRIENDS in a manner that supports and guides the organization’s mission as defined by its Board of Directors. Providing hands-on administration and oversight of FRIENDS programs and activities, the ED also ensures the integrity of the FRIENDS volunteer relational database and its website. The ED works collaboratively with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), the Southern Nevada Conservancy (SNC) and other public lands groups, engages in appropriate community outreach as directed by the Board, supervises the FRIENDS staff; and is visible to and engages with FRIENDS volunteers. This position reports directly to the president of the FRIENDS Board.
32 hour work week and flexible scheduling. Starting salary in the $50,000’s. Benefits are not provided.
